Delivery Information
Gifts will be left at the delivery location you supply us with unless instructed otherwise. Please ensure all address details are correct, including any extra information such as a building name, business name or hospital ward etc. Incorrectly addressed items that require re-direction will incur a further delivery charge. Further delivery charges may also apply in circumstances (where no one is home to accept the gift) that prevent delivery, such as security gates, dangerous dogs on the property, or gifts requiring refrigeration.
Delivery of Refrigerated Products
Gift hampers that contain products requiring immediate refrigeration such as cheese and dips (includes chocolate in the summer months) must be handed directly to the recipient, or a person accepting on the recipient’s behalf. If the premises are unattended, the items cannot be left. If re-delivery is required, a further fee will apply.
If you are unsure if the recipient will be at home on the day of delivery we encourage you to consider having the item delivered to a workplace, request a replacement item to the same value or select an alternative gift that does not require refrigeration.
Gifts Containing Alcohol
In accordance with the Liquor Act 1992, it is an offence to sell or supply to, or to obtain liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years. Any gifts containing alcohol must therefore be purchased by and delivered to a person aged 18 or over and evidence of age may be required, where appropriate. Liquor must be purchased in conjunction with hampers or flowers, it cannot be purchased alone and is limited to no more than 2 litres per gift.
Substitution of Products
Occasionally, some products or flowers may not be available due to reasons beyond our control. Should a particular product be unavailable, Casa Flora will substitute that product with another similar product of equal or greater value.
Flower Care
-
Ensure that you are using a thoroughly clean vase.
-
Pour tap water into the vase and resist overfilling.
-
Add flower food to the water. If you do not have flower food, you can add a few drops of bleach to the water. This will help to inhibit the growth of bacteria.
-
Cut approximately 2cm off the bottom of the stems, using clean sharp scissors and cutting the stems at an angle.
-
Remove any foliage from the lower part of the stems so that it does not fall below the waterline. This will help to keep the water clean and achieve a better look.
-
To help extend the life of your flowers, keep them in a cool place away from direct sunlight. It is also advisable to keep them away from fruit, as fruit emits a gas that is detrimental to flowers.
-
Change the water in the vase regularly, (every day or two) and remove any dead flowers or foliage from the bunch.
Flower Care - Arrangements
-
Keep your arrangement away from sunlight, heat and fruit.
-
Water your arrangement daily to keep the floral foam from drying out. Slowly pour the water into the centre of the arrangement. Be careful not to overfill, as water could overflow and cause damage to furniture.
